A tentative title for the book: "Unlocking your mind: Tales of a lifetime through poetry 'n' verse. A new title yet to be revealed.
Though a content writer by profession, it is the poetry that has been a ‘work of the heart’ for Uma Sarangan. She started dabbling with words and verses from her college days. What gave her poetic skills a shot in the arm was winning in the poetry-writing competition at the college level and getting her poem published in the Asian Age as a prize-winning entry in their National Poetry competition.
For Uma, poetry is about plumbing the depths of one’s soul and expressing the sublime, surreal and earthy aspects of life. It is a way of seeking answers, questioning, and effecting changes in the system we live in.
She loves to challenge societal stereotypes that greatly influence her writings, not to mention the satire that underlines her verses on modern life and lifestyle! That apart, her musings also reflect her love for nature, while voicing her angst against man’s exploits that rob us of the true nature of living.
Poetry, she truly believes, opens the channel to healing, for there is no better way to connect to and harmonize with oneself!
Her Book consists of 120+ Poetries, and is set to launch under Mark-Fly Publishers, tentatively on September, 2020.
About Abhijit Basu, from Kolkata.
Abi is a Chartered Accountant and a Master in Business Administration with dual specialisation in Finance and Human Resources.
He is currently serving as a Senior Manager in the role of a Business Analyst, on Alternative Investments in one of the renowned IT companies.
He has a keen interest in the most magical creation of nature, mankind. He drives his energy from meeting and discussing with the human race about the diverse circumstances one has come across. Life is a beautiful one time gift for him and never to be decayed.
It is the first book authored by him. The author portrayed multiple facets of life and tried to enlighten the true value of our existence. All these aspects are bundled into nine short stories in this book. Human race is the most magical creation of nature and dealing with their relationship is furthermore interesting. The author made an effort to collaborate a handful of instances of this vast versatility of life in his book through his stories. It is an insight of the unknown world of known events.
